May 31, 2009- Took the 2 1/2 hour drive to Tampa to visit with Bobbi Porto. She has such beautiful birds! Her partnering with Alan Stanford of BrownEgg/BlueEgg has sure paid off. I love walking around with her and looking at the new additions. While I was there, I acquired one of her prized possessions-POPEYE, one of her white silkie roosters! I feel fortunate to add him to Sunshine Silkies. He has produced many great looking babies and I had one white chick from him on my last visit. Popeye came home with me to Lake City and met his new girlfriends. He's done alot of dancing in his new chalet! Thanks Bobbi for trusting me with Popeye! He will have a great home here. I acquired 10 more chicks from her to add to my flock. Just as soon as my Elvis get past the teenage stage,  I will do Bobbi the same favor with chicks! My husband is always a good sport on these ventures. He was relieved when he saw that Sal(Bobbi's husband)was like him doing some of the behind the scene jobs!!! Also got to visit with Kristy Vargas and talk chicken talk. It was a great trip and I can't wait to visit again!
